This is my Grandma; she was the smartest, most ladylike woman I've ever known. She was an avid
volunteer for many different organizations, and spent her whole life thinking of others before
herself, even on her deathbed.
She made the best chili and loved dogs, and gardens, and she was always amazed at the tangles in my
hair...
I will miss her a lot, for all the love she gave to me.

Goodbye to a great lady!

I always wished I lived closer to my Aunt Helen. I found her to be quite an inspiration. when I visited her over the years she made the most delicious meals and gave me great gardening tips. I loved the way her voice sounded- very warm and friendly. She let my husband Jamie of 37 years and I visit and stay in her home while we were in high school and although she was so busy with three children of her own she was a very gracious hostess. Now I know what work it must have been to put up two extra people. I always thought of her as one of the most selfless and hard working people I have ever met.

Memories of Mom

My mom was a dear friend my entire life. When I was a child, she read to me and took me to the library where I learned to love to read and took me to the pool so that I would learn to swim. I ended up being a lifeguard as a result. Then she took my children to the pool to learn to swim and they became lifeguards. She was very humble, very giving, and very faithful. One of the things she did to help people was to coordinate volunteers through AARP in helping senior citizens with free tax assistance. Mom did taxes for seniors free of charge for approximately 18 years. She was humble, and a living example of Christian faith, charity and love. -- Tom Spring
